The hubris in thinking you know me
Because we are both human
Or that you might know better for me
Like I don’t know myself
Thinking you can logic your way
Into understanding my experience
As if logic has anything to do with it
You really see yourself as godlike
The failing of mankind is patterns
Making mosaics from chaos
Faith in our flawed perception
Even when our limitations are clear
You don’t know me better
Than I know myself
But you’d like to think
You know the best of us both.
