You can’t prosecute a lack of aware
The law is aimed at purposeful action
The burden is to show proof of intent
So the law won’t stop implicit bias
It actually encourages bias to hide
Most people have good explicit intent
Offended by suggestions otherwise
Most people are law abiding citizens
Who can’t see their hidden bias
Never realizing how they are wrong
Because implicit bias isn’t illegal.
